This is the final week of the 5th marking period. That means that 50% of the course grade will have been determined. Please be sure that you are using the parent access system to track your student's grades.
We have had one visit to the library to start work on the final project for the course. This is the alternative to a final exam and will be worth 20% of the course grade and appear as a grade in the exam column on the report card. Your student should be able to tell you the topic on which they are working and be able to explain what it is that they are doing as we progress each week.

Tomorrow marks the mid point for the final marking period. If your student is a senior, we have already passed the midpoint. Please be sure to check grades posted online and ask your student about any concerns you may have. Also, please check in with your student regarding the final project for our class. You may find their work posted on www.digitalsoc.wikispaces.com under their individual named listed in the navigation area on the left. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
